There are 1,000,000 people living here in these conditions. Mostly, they are refugees. If they squat in an area for a minimum of 48 hours, they can stay. Ultimately (apparently several years later and often never) the govt. builds them a small house. Initially these townships have NO facilities; ie. water, electricity, pluming. It's incredible.

Beyond measure, this was blessed. Africa changed our lives, and we will never be the same.
