        The Clinging Cross

About five years ago, Tidings of Love created the Clinging Cross. Since then, this simple little cross that fits anyone's hand has been a source of comfort for 1,000s of men and women. Here are a few testimonials I've received since I began making the Clinging Cross available at Vessel conferences:

• I was considering suicide and slept with a Clinging Cross in each hand until I got through my depression.
• I purchased a Clinging Cross for my teenage daughter who was having boy friend problems. Before I knew it, her boy friend wanted a cross.
• I held the Clinging Cross during my chemotherapy sessions.
• A pastor's wife purchased 40 Clinging Crosses to take on a mission trip to Kenya. On her journey, she gave the crosses to African pastors AND to the vice president of Kenya!
• Here is the one that touches me most: Our daughter-in-law lost her mother last summer. I gave her a cross for her mother; my daughter-in-law said that her mother clung to the cross daily!

Many churches are purchasing the crosses in bulk to give to hospital patients or families in grief. If you're interested in  a dozen or more, please call our office; we will make arrangements with you. This little rhyme comes with the Cross:

When my mind is fuzzy and my eyes are dim with tears,

I need to feel Your presence, Lord, and know that You are near.

When my heart is racing and my thoughts have such a sting,

I tightly grasp this little cross and prayerfully cling.

It's not a magic piece--this cross Your father planned,

But when I cling to it I feel Your nail-scarred hand.
